PDQ – Environmental Champion!

PDQ Manufacturing has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a “Champion” in the Design for the Environment (DfE) Program’s Safer Detergent Stewardship Initiative (SDSI).

The SDSI recognizes environmental leaders that commit to or otherwise promote the use of “safer surfactants.” Surfactants are among the most common ingredients used in cleaning product formulations. Safer surfactants break down quickly to non-polluting compounds, helping to protect aquatic life in both fresh and salt water.

The “Champion” designation represents the highest level of recognition under the SDSI. PDQ will be recognized by the EPA as “demonstrating outstanding efforts to encourage the use of safer surfactants.”

“I am proud to receive this honor on behalf of the tremendous effort and commitment by my associates at PDQ. They recognized the benefit for our environment and our customers,” stated PDQ PresidentWalter Drost Jr., “and they worked diligently to meet the objective. It sets a high standard for future product development and fits perfectly with our Green Kitchen initiative.”

Since 1987, PDQ Manufacturing has developed performance detergent products for the food service, commercial dish washing, commercial laundry and food plant sanitation markets. For more information, please visit
